update from 5/22/12

I just noticed that we forgot to blog about the update that we received on May 22, 2012. She is still very small and very much underweight. It's heartbreaking. We have been in contact with other families that have adopted or are in process of adopting from Claire's orphanage. We have found out that her orphanage is notorius for not feeding the kids. Agencies have been in there and it is not a matter of having enough food or finances, the director just doesn't allow for them to get the food they need. This caused us to put on the full court press to get our girl home. Our agency told us that we would likely travel in October. Unacceptable! My amazing wife who is the most incredible mother I know set out to get our baby girl home ASAP. She has been praying with some incredible prayer warriors (The Ring of Fire) and she has some Missouri government officials involved. I am excited to report that as near as we can tell, we may now be just weeks from getting our travel approval. Things have been flying through and we have been getting things much faster than is the norm. God is good! We have been praying that we could travel in July. We will see what happens...it is going to be very close. Anyway I have attached the picture of little Claire from the update file. Hopefully, they are done messing with her hair.

Sophie's Song

Our friend Thad Fiscella wrote a song for our little Sophie. How cool is that! He has offered to share the profits from the sale of this song to help us bring Sophie home. If you would like to hear a sample of the song or purchase a copy for your self, please visit: http://thadfiscella.bandcamp.com

Please help us get our precious Sophia home by making a donation!
