rough day

Hello All,
We did some formal stuff today that took about three hours and it left poor Claire so tired.  We got back and got her down for a nap.  When she wakes up (last night and both times today) she is very confused and cries a lot.  She acts like an infant.  I made a comment today to our Holt guide that I don't think she's ever been talked to or interacted with, and he said that given the ophange she is from he agrees.  Friends, we have one LONG road ahead of us.  She has never been stimulated, nurtured, nourished, or loved.....my heart is broken.  This is the hardet thing we've ever done. Please continue to pray hard for healing, bonding, growth, happiness for Claire, and that my brain can handle this.  I am really struggling.  We can't wait to be home!!! We miss our other kids and my foks so bad...and home, and our friends.  Please pray that our trip wil go ok and that we will see growth in her everyday in every area.  We truly did come to save her life.  Right now our world is praise and worship music, constant prayer aloud over her and each other, constantly taking captive the thoughts that the enemy is screaming at us. Thank you for your kind words.  Right now they are medicine to my soul.  Only God can get us through this and perform the miracles that this sweet girl needs......

In His grip,
Chris, Leslie and Claire

  1. Rest in the Lord, he will comfort you all. We are praying hard on this side of the world. I know that she will heal with all the love you both are pouring on her.
I would buy her the formula that she is use to for now. She doesn't need anymore stress right now. There will be time to switch her formula later.
We love you both and ready to do what ever we can for you all. Please let us know if we can do anything.

  4. What a pretty lil princess God has created just for you. It's amazing how we plan.....and then God SCREEEEECHES His tires in a totally different direction. As Chris said, adoption is NOT for the FAINT OF HEART. It's rough, tough, scary and freakishly awesome!!! All I could think when you posted Claire's gotcha day pics was that NO BETTER MOTHER COULD THIS PRINCESS HAVE THAN LESLIE KAY FULLER! Just think of the 4 coarse breakfasts she and Jack will share.Think of the appointments that, despite taking the scary interstate, you will ALWAYS get her to. ALWAYS! You WERE CREATED TO BE A MOTHER.....Evan, Grace, Cate, Jack, and Claire's mother. Though we don't understand all the details, God went before you and He will be the caboose in the end....WOO WOO!!! You can soooooo do this sweet friends!!! Kim and I have skyped with Mimi and the kids, though Jack really stole the show. :) We are so bummed that we HAD to go shopping for Claire some new stylish clothes....awwwwww DARN IT! We think she will look amazing in ZEBRA STRIPES!! EEEEEKS!!! I have tons of bottles, baby food, and puffs for you!!! :) GET HOME FAST! Love you with our whole hearts, Bambi and the Rockholds (sounds like a new hit tv show eh!)
